“Gardening with native plants is better for our watershed, our woodlands, and our wildlife, especially birds. Let’s take back the outdoors this spring after our horrific winter!”
— Scott Knudsen, Organizer of the Northern Alexandria Native Plant Sale, on why you should come out to the sale
- native alternatives to invasive, exotic garden plants
- watershed-friendly gardening practices
April 25th marks the 24th time the twice-yearly, non-profit, community sale has been held. Fifteen vendors from four states will attend.
Previously known as the “Parkfairfax Native Plant Sale” for the neighborhood in which it was held, starting in 2014 the sale name is the “Northern Alexandria Native Plant Sale.”
Organizer Scott Knudsen is a native plant enthusiast who promotes native plant gardening in northern Virginia. Gardeners will find a large variety of quality plants at this sale because of the many growers attending.
